In recent weeks I have enjoyed a very warm exchange of e-mails with Dr Peter Phan, Ellacuria Chair of Catholic Social Thought in the Theology Department of Georgetown University, Washington DC. Peter had brought to his attention my review of his contribution to the book Landmark Essays in Mission and World Christianity (Orbis Books 2009). With my encouragement and Peter’s permission, his comments have been posted with the original article, both of which you can read here.
I’m very grateful to Peter for his input. And if I may say so, it has brought home to me one of the simple pleasures of writing a blog, namely the many interesting people you get to know, Peter Phan amongst them.
