Theology! Can be such an intimidating word but at its truest, its something every Christian should be doing – and is doing – as they contemplate the things of God.
Denis Diderot, the 18th century French philosopher said of theology “Only a very bad theologian would confuse the certainty that follows revelation with the truths that are revealed. They are entirely different things.”
And that’s the point – theology is rarely about unearthing absolutes but more about plumbing the unfathomable riches of God. Can there be a more energizing endeavour!
Over the last year a small group of us representing the Baptist Colleges, BUGB and BMS World Mission have been planning an intensive theology week under the banner ‘Hearts and Minds’. I have to say I am delighted at the outcome and look forward to a stimulating week later this month.
You can check out more details on the website here or you can read a summary of the programme by clicking here - Download Hearts and Minds.
I dont know if there are any places left but do contact Regents Park College if you're interested.

Thank you for being one of the people organizing it - really looking forward to it and the great papers and conversations we will have together.

Greater love hath no man than he lays down his reputation for his friends. The credit for a lot of the detailed work goes to Simon Woodman, Myra Blyth, Steve Finamore and an anonymous BMS website builder who we'll call Malkie!
